Sir Peter Jackson has offered the world the first glimpse of Mortal Engines.

We have loved getting our Wellington Talent involved in this great project.

The Kiwi director, who is co-writing and producing the big budget adaptation of Philip Reeve's book, has shared a single piece of concept art via his Facebook page.

Directed by Christian Rivers, the story takes place in a steampunk post-apocalyptic future where cities are mobile and perambulate the planet devouring each other for fuel.  The main character Tom Natsworthy lives in one of these giant cities (named Traction City), but his life alters when he encounters a mysterious young rebel woman from the Outlands.
